Connect to AI
Ask Claude, ChatGPT or Grok about tonight's games and get answers from Hoop Dossier, with a link to the page every fact came from. Free for now: no account, no key.
The address to paste
https://hoopdossier.com/mcp
It is a remote MCP server (Model Context Protocol, the standard AI apps use for connectors). Add it once and your assistant can look things up on Hoop Dossier whenever a question needs it.
Claude
claude.ai and the desktop app
- Open Claude on the web or the desktop app and go to Customize → Connectors (older versions: Settings → Connectors).
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Hoop Dossier and paste the address above as the server URL.
- If you are asked about signing in, choose No sign-in (leave any OAuth fields empty), then Add.
- In a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors and make sure Hoop Dossier is on. Then just ask.
The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors, then you connect it from Customize → Connectors.
ChatGPT
chatgpt.com
- Custom connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan, and OpenAI moves this setting from time to time. In Settings → Apps, open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode if your plan shows it.
- Add a custom MCP server (it may be called Create app, Add custom MCP server or a + button, also at chatgpt.com/plugins).
- Name it Hoop Dossier, paste the address above as the server URL and choose No authentication.
- ChatGPT warns that custom connectors are not verified by OpenAI. Hoop Dossier only reads public facts; confirm to create it.
- In a chat, pick Hoop Dossier from the + menu (or the Developer mode tools), then ask.
Hoop Dossier also offers the search and fetch tools that ChatGPT's deep research uses.
Grok
grok.com
- Go to grok.com/connectors.
- Choose New Connector, then Custom.
- Paste the address above as the MCP server URL. There is nothing to sign in to.
- Save it. Grok lists the Hoop Dossier tools and can use them in your chats.
On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin may need to add it for the team first.

Answers come from the same facts as our pages, as of their last update, and every answer carries that time. Data can be delayed or wrong, and your assistant can still misread it: follow the link to check.
Privacy
We keep only a daily count of how many questions the connector answered: not the questions, the answers, your account or your address. What you type into your AI app is covered by that app's own privacy terms. Our privacy page
Fair use
It is free for personal use. Very heavy automated use is slowed down so the site stays quick for everyone. If it ever becomes part of a paid tier, this page will say so first.
