- Noah Penda left the preseason finale against the Miami Heat in the second quarter. He pulled up on a fast break and immediately grabbed the back of his leg. at 2:23
- It is the same leg in which Penda had soreness early in training camp. The Magic held him out then and let it heal. at 2:46
- Noah Penda (reported): Penda said he saw the scans and was told the earlier issue was fully healed. He thinks this was bad luck and doesn't think the two are connected. at 2:54

- Orlando Magic (reported): The Magic aren't putting a timeline on Penda's return; it will depend on how he responds to treatment. He will not need surgery. at 3:19
- At practice on Sunday, Penda was up and walking, with a wrap and what the host described as 'like a heating pad' tied around his leg. at 3:27
- Host prediction: Penda will miss at least the first quarter of the season. Questions about him will start in December, and the host doesn't expect him back until around Christmas. He doesn't think the injury is season-ending. at 3:16

My latest for @orlandosentinel.com: Noah Penda said Sunday he’s frustrated by the timing of his latest hamstring injury, as the #Magic continue to evaluate Franz Wagner. Plus, the latest on Jonathan Isaac, who I spoke with about his left knee injury recovery:

#Magic forward Noah Penda said his partially torn right hamstring feels really sore. He’s unsure how long he’ll be out. The imaging he saw from his first strain showed it fully healed, and he felt this injury in a different area of the hamstring. “Just terrible luck,” he said.

Breaking News: #Magic forward Noah Penda suffered a partially torn right hamstring during Friday’s preseason vs. the Heat, the @orlandosentinel.com has learned. Penda’s return will depend on how he responds to treatment, but he’s expected to miss significant time, I’m told.

The host said Richardson's struggles will still be on defense because he is small and teams attack him. He would rather pair Richardson with Noah Penda, Wagner and Suggs than with Vucevic as the center behind him.
